Zaheer Arastu earned his M.Ed from The George Washington University Graduate School of Education in Washington, D.C. He earned his undergraduate degree in Human Services & Sociology from G.W.U. and a minor in Economics. He served as Vice Principal of Al-Huda School in College Park, MD. Later he earned his Principal Certification through The University of Oklahoma’s Jeannine Rainbolt College of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.  He served as a Science teacher for ten years and has been the principal of the school for over eight years.  As an AdvancEd certified lead evaluator, he is passionately committed to continuous improvement efforts and has served on eight external review teams throughout Oklahoma.  Mr. Arastu loves kids and loves to share parenting advice as he is a certified ScreamFree Parenting Facilitator. He is also enthusiastic about learning and sharing information about feeding the mind, body, and soul the nutrition that is needed to live the happiest, healthiest, most productive life, here and in the hereafter. This year he will serve as the “Transition Lead” – training, mentoring, and coaching two new interim principals for Peace Academy. He will as serve as the school’s first Dean of Innovation and Technology.
